The CASL Pioneers Program is a cultural learning experience presented by the Challenge Division. This year, boys and girls in the HIGH SCHOOL age groups are eligible to take part in this once in a lifetime opportunity.  Please open the CASL PIONEERS 2010 SLIDE SHOW to learn all about this years Pioneers Program.

This year will be the first year for the Pioneers, who have been formed to seek out more tournaments that fit the Ambassadors Program

  • Approx. $2900 initial cost of the trip.  Fundraising will help defer some of the cost but there will be a financial component to the trip.
  • (2) 4-day Team Camps for 2 hrs per night Monday-Thursday of one week in January and 1 week in the summer to be disclosed after the team is selected.  These camps are mandatory to get the team ready to compete in an international tournament.
  • A 7-8 Day international trip to Spain and France.  Cultural excursions will take place throughout both countries.
  • Players selected will be based on Character, Leadership and Recommendations as well as their commitment to the CASL Challenge Division.  The player will be composing an essay in addition to the questionnaire.  Players selected will be invited to a try out for program.  I will be the one selecting the team based on recommendations of the Pioneers Program Selection Committee.

As the Director of Coaching for the Challenge Division, I am very pleased to be offering this opportunity to each one of our players in the High School age groups and look forward to many more great initiatives from the CASL Pioneers program.  I hope each player will seriously consider this opportunity as one which will promote growth as a player due to the high level of training and international play as well as the personal growth which comes from experiencing another culture first hand.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I am looking forward to a great experience and am thrilled to be able to offer this opportunity to our CASL Challenge Division.

All the best,

Rob Andrews
